Youth Clubs

Impact(Ed) trains and supports local communities in establishing boys and girls clubs.

For out-of-school youth these often provide a ‘foot in the door’ to the school environment leading to increased school attendance. Girls clubs develop life skills with a focus on girls’ agency, self-efficacy, and a growth mindset. These youth clubs have become key to social and emotional learning and academic performance.

Halima's Story

When Halima was 13 years old, she was set to be married and not finish school. In her school's Girls' Association, Halima saw Impact(Ed)'s series "My Better World". After watching The Bracelet Story episode, where Abi enlists her teacher and friends to successfully postpone her impending nuptials so she can finish school, Halima approached her mentor, who was ultimately able to discuss the matter with Halima's parents and they agreed to postpone the wedding. Halima has now transitioned to Junior Secondary School, where she is more confident and proud of her progress in the classroom.
